The Edinburgh Family Papers (1790 - 2012; one folder) include family genealogy research and historical documents of the Edinburgh family of East Texas. The collection includes photocopied county records, maps, photographs, and correspondence relating to the family’s lineage.

This collection consists of one document; a partially printed indictment form providing a summary of a case in the District Court in the county of El Paso, Texas against Mr. A. Prousally, a manager of a dance house that sold liquor and employed prostitutes in the late 19th century.

The memoir contains information and perspective on the South at the end of the civil war. There is also a transcription of the memoir that includes brief biographical information on the McAshan family.
E.M. Edwards Photograph Collection
The materials within this collection are mainly made up of black and white mounted photographs, along with letter correspondence, print-out email correspondence, and a photocopy of a newspaper article.
Escaped Convicts Proclamation Collection
The collection was purchased for SHSU Special Collections in June 2019. Each flyer was signed in Huntsville, Texas by Searcy Baker, Superintendent of the Texas State Penitentiaries during the earlyb1900s. There are a total of 35 flyers, one being a duplicate.
